The print head bangs over to the left and has a mind of its own, it picks up but dumps cd\'s anywhere, I think it is the guide tape markings wornout or similar, please give me some idea of costs to repair, thank you.Hi Ken,
By the sounds of it there might be a problem with tape-guide or one of the optical sensors on the print head carriage. The cost for the out of warranty repairs is £60.00 (plus VAT) per hour of labour and the cost of parts. Please note that there is an evaluation fee of £50 + VAT to diagnose the fault. You will then be sent a quote for the cost of repair. Should you wish to go ahead with the work, the evaluation fee will be removed from your bill (so you pay only for labour and any necessary components).
