Amazing new technology from StorDigital means you can now Print and Burn in one low cost tower duplicator. This preassembled LightScribe duplicator features 11 LightScribe enabled DVD and CD burners and 1 reader. By using LightScribe technology these units are capable of printing a one colour monochrome print onto the surface of a LightScribe disc. When printing is not required normal blank CDs and DVDs can be used. In order to print an image onto your LightScribe discs you must first create your artwork on a PC. This artwork is then burnt to a CD master. The CD master is then used as the source for your print image, but instead of burning data to the data layer, the laser will burn and image on to the surface of the disc. No PC required to operate the duplicator.
   Able to label discs with full graphics and text using LightScribe Technology:
Using LightScribe capable discs, the duplicator can burn the labels onto all the discs in the drives at the same time
   Improved Load and Copy Supported:
Improved "Load and Copy" transfers the data from the master disc to the internal HDD while simultaneously coping that data disc to disc on the first run. All subsequent runs are copied through the HDD.
   Dynamic Hard Drive Partitioning:
The HDD partitions are created with flexible partitions that can be used to match the size of the project being stored. This process saves space and allows for more projects to be stored on the HDD.
   Industry leading 256MB buffer memory *:
Keeps all drives burning without pausing (known as buffer underrun) for the most stable and reliable high speed duplication - The higher the memory buffer the less likely to encounter buffer underrun errors.
   Supports all common CD Formats including CD-TEXT, ISRC, Over-Burned CD (90 min/99 min).
   Drive firmware upgradeability:
Capable of upgrading the drive's firmware for selected brands through the duplicator.
   Multi-Language capability:
The text on the LCD screen can be displayed in English, Spanish, French, Japanese & more. (Simplified or Traditional Chinese can be ordered upon request.)

Important Notice

The duplicator will not copy any copy-protected discs.   The actual maximum writing speed may vary. Blank media writing speed is determined by the drives, regardless of what the media manufacturer certifies the blank media writing speed at.

How Lightscribe Works:
1. Burn the image label you created from the saved file on your computer onto a CD. 2. Place that CD into the reader drive of the StorDigital Premium LS duplicator. 3. Load LightScribe capable discs with the label side down in all of the writer drives. 4. Using the menu on the duplicator's LCD, choose and execute the "Print" function. 5. Burn your LightScribe label directly onto the discs in all the writer drives at the same time. 6. Remember, the same drive that burns your label burns your data, too.

Hi there, Could you please tell me what is the advantage of having a hard drive installed in this product? Is it necessary? Also, is there a way to load the cd data & image via a USB stick (as opposed to having to burn a cd with the data and using that? Maybe these two questions are linked. HI Stephen, You can store your master discs images on the hard drive and copy them without looking for the master disc. It is very useful if you have jobs that will repeat themselves in perspective of longer period of time. If you decide to go for the machine without HDD you will be able to copy only from master disc.
